»Bercumahockerle« steht sinnbildlich für eine Idee aus Erkenntnissen internationaler und partizipativer Kunstprojekte (2011). Fränkische Industrie und äthiopische Kultur begeg nen sich auf Augenhöhe; daraus entstand ein gemeinsames Produkt. »Berchuma«, äthiopisch: Kaffeehocker, traditionelles Dreibein aus Holz. „Hockerla“, fränkisch/bairisch, Verb »hocken/ kauern« – Sitzgelegenheit. Angelehnt an Wiederverwendung und Kreislaufwirtschaft: Nichts wird weggeworfen, Reste werden zu neuen Produkten verarbeitet. Verwendet wurden hochwertige Kunststoffe, Drainagesysteme „Rausikko-Box C“ (REHAU).

„Bercumahockerle“ stands symbolically for an idea derived from insights of international and participatory art projects (2011–2012). Nuremberg industry and Ethiopian culture meet; a joint product emerged from this. „Berchuma,“ Ethiopian: coffee stool, a traditional wooden tripod. „Hockerla,“ Franconian/Bavarian dialect, verb „hocken/kauern“ — seating. Inspired by reuse and circular economy: nothing is discarded; leftovers are processed into new pro- ducts. High-quality plastics, drainage systems, and the „Rausikko-Box C“ (REHAU) were used.
